Littlefinger Death Scene Explained – Game of Thrones Behind The Scenes

Littlefinger Death Scene Explained

Littlefinger aka Lord Petyr Baelish was perhaps one of the most cunning characters of Game of Thrones series. But he met his own fate in Game of Thrones Season 7 finale. Lord Baelish death scene has been explained in Game of Thrones behind the scenes video.

Littlefinger Death Scene Explained

This Game of Thrones Littlefinger death scene video reveals how the scene was enacted and how the Game of Thrones cast felt about this scene. Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger) gave a spectacular performance.

Game of Thrones Pollster Predicts Next Exit From Trump White House Littlefinger death scene

Aidan Gillen felt pretty good about Lord Baelish death scene. Says Aidan, “Tables are very cleverly turned much to Littlefinger’s and we hope the audience’s surprise. Also nice to probably see Littlefinger really unnerved for once and really backed into a corner and rattled and wrong and sorry and dying.”

For Brandon Stark, it’s a very interesting moment. Isaac Hempstead Wright (Brandon Stark) felt excited about the scene. Isaac said, “this for bran is an interesting moment in time this is like something he’d go back to see you know a hundred years ago.”

This revelation that Littlefinger has betrayed her family was an eye opener for Sansa Stark. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) thought that the trio, Sansa, Arya, and Littlefinger had a great scene. Says Sophie, “Bran brings the knowledge, Sansa’s the politician and Arya is the warrior.”

Arya Stark perhaps enjoyed killing Littlefinger the most. In Maise Williams’s (Arya Stark) words, “eerie scene, because I was speaking to Aiden about it and he was like it’s a real shame because I always thought Littlefinger was a good person. And so I turned around and was like that’s why you play him so well because you don’t play him like he’s a bad character. You play him like every single one of his decisions is justified.”

Jeremy Podeswa on Littlefinger Death Scene

Shooting Littlefinger’s death scene was one of the biggest moments of got 7×07 for Jeremy Podeswa, Director of the episode. Says Jeremy, “I think for Littlefinger because he’s the consummate player you don’t really expect him to ever get outplayed but he does get outplayed and that is like a shock. You could argue that if anybody deserved it, it’s him at this point.”

There are many complex characters on in Game of Thrones and you love them and you hate them. Littlefinger was one of those characters. Jeremy Podeswa did justice with Lord Baelish’ death scene.

Talking more about the scene says Podeswa, “What I thought was so great about Aidan’s performance is that he really showed a kind of vulnerability and humanity in that last moment before he died. I think he really felt that he really loved Sansa and it’s kind of horrible when he gets killed.”

We will definitely miss Petyr Baelish in Game of Thrones Season 8. Adieu, Littlefinger aka Petry Baelish.

Game of Thrones Revealed: Zombie Polar Bear

Zombie Polar Bear in Game of Thrones

Zombie Polar Bear Game of Thrones

Zombie Polar Bear Game of Thrones

We all saw the suicide squad fighting the zombie polar bear in Beyond The Wall. That zombie polar bear took the life of Thoros the Myr. Game of Thrones cast and crew talk about this beast created with special effects.

Zombie Polar Bear: Cast and Crew Reaction

Says Joe Bauer, VFX Supervisor, “You’re in a blizzard, your visibility is 10 feet. You’ve got something that’s out there that you don’t know where it’s gonna come from. It’s very much like a sharp knife.

Alan Taylor took this episode of Game of Thrones Season 7 as a challenge. This episode featured two special features, a zombie polar bear, and resurrection of Viserion

We felt like a real collaboration in building this sequence. It was the script, it was the effect and then it was my ideas. And also I’ve worked with a wonderful storyboard artist Richard who made the scene.”

Kit Harington (Jon Snow) shared his thoughts as well, “We did it in a big CGI box and they said to us at the start this is gonna be quite confusing because you won’t have any sense of direction and it was a bit weird.”

Indeed it must have been weird as there was no polar bear but a big guy wearing a green suit. Rory McCann (Sandor Clegane aka The Hound) says jokingly, “I’ve had people going off when I will come towards you I’m a bear, no you’re not. His name is Tofy. It was pretty weird, to be honest“.

This zombie polar bear was quite a beast. Hopefully, with the big whopping budget of Game of Thrones season 8, we will get to see our favorite direwolves, Ghost and Nymeria again. Got 8 filming is supposed to begin this month.

Night King Resurrects Viserion: Behind The Scenes

Game of Thrones Revealed, a 7 part series of behind the scenes action on Game of Thrones released a video on how the Night King resurrected Viserion towards the end of the episode “Beyond The Wall“.

The fun part is watching Night King (Vladimir Furdik) giving a signal that he is ready to resurrect Viserion. Also, it is interesting to know that David Benioff and Dan Weiss didn’t have a script for Beyond The Wall when they approached Alan Taylor to direct this episode.

Viserion Resurrection: Special Effects

The special effects are quite phenomenal for this particular part of the frozen lake battle

Says Dan Weiss, “We knew that the Night King would see and seize this opportunity and like to think that. When the dragon dies that it’s kind of a nice one-two punch. On the one hand, you’re just seeing that the horror of one of these three only unique amazing beings like this in the world going under the water and not coming up again.

Viserion Sinks Into The Lake

And you’re processing something that’s even worse which is when it comes back out from under the water again what happens then.

The eyes of the white walkers and the wights are a prominent feature of the show. A lot of work has gone into the specifics of the eyes of the wights and the white walkers. The Game of Thrones crew put a lot of effort into the iconic image of Viserion’s eye turning blue. It was the oh shit moment where everyone realized that the Night King has resurrected Viserion.

It will be fun to see behind the scenes footage of Viserion emitting blue fire to destroy the wall in the next video of Game of Thrones Revealed series.

With the doom of Valyria, some Targaryens moved to Dragonstone. Aegon Targaryen had his eyes on Westeros and saw an opportunity. Westeros at that time was fractured with squabbling lords of the so-called Seven Kingdoms. Westeros had no true leader at that time. Aegon decided to conquer Westeros along with his two sisters who were also his wives, Visenya Targaryen and Rhaenys Targaryen.

The full version of this amazing story of the conquest by Aegon Targaryen is going to be mind-blowing. The full version will be available in December along with the Game of Thrones Season 7 DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Isaac Hempstead Wright: Chaos Is A Ladder Was Badass

Chaos is a ladder

Chaos Is A Ladder – Brandon Stark

Brandon Stark and Littlefinger had a very interesting moment in Game of Thrones Season 7. When Littlefinger gives Brandon the Catspaw dagger Bran utters this phrase, ‘Chaos is a ladder‘ which takes Littlefinger by surprise. Littlefinger had said these exact words to Varys in one of his conversations with him.

Chaos is a ladder

Chaos Is A Ladder – Littlefinger to Varys

Isaac Hempstead Wright, the actor who plays Brandon Stark in Game of Thrones in fact enjoyed that moment when he freaked out Littlefinger. Says Isaac Hempstead Wright, “Saying ’chaos is a ladder’ to Littlefinger was so cool, though. I felt so badass in that scene, like, ‘Chaos is a ladder … yeeaaaah. How do you like that, Littlefinger?'” Yeah, that definitely freaked out Littlefinger.

Brandon Stark was also at times creepy and mostly cold in Game of Thrones Season 7. He came across as a total jerk when he recalled the night Sansa got married to Ramsay Bolton and was raped. Well, Isaac Hempstead Wright just apologized for his creepy behavior as Brandon Stark.

Chaos is a ladder

Adds Isaac, ”Yeah, sorry about that. There were some cool bits to get to play, less so that creepy moment with Sansa. That was weird. I don’t think Bran meant that in a weird way. I don’t think he’s trying to freak his sister out by going, ‘Yeah, I know everything. Don’t f**k with me’. It’s more like Bran is processing everything he’s seen, like, ‘I’ve seen you there. That happened to you. I’m sorry for what happened to you’.

Choas is a ladder

Brandon Stark – Three Eyed Raven

And about the cold behavior of Brandon Stark, says Isaac, “Bran has lost that emotional connection. He just states what he sees in an almost autistic way, not really connecting with things but just saying how they are.

Isaac also explained why he didn’t know about Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen’s wedding.

That was a bit confusing. The way I understand, it works like Bran has access. It’s like he’s got a Kindle library of every book of everything that’s ever happened in the world. He can access any of it in a heartbeat, but he hasn’t yet sat there and read it all. The old Three-Eyed Raven had a thousand years to sit in that cave to read every single page of everything that’s happened in the universe, and therefore be completely all knowing. Bran isn’t completely omniscient. He can look up anything he wants, but he hasn’t got it all by heart yet.

At that moment [in the finale], Bran was like, “Oh, yup, Rhaegar was [Jon’s] dad,” but he doesn’t think to explore it further. When Samwell Tarly says that [Rhaegar and Lyanna] were married, he can then confirm it. When his sisters come to him offscreen and go, “Can you look up what is the real deal with Littlefinger?” He can go, “He said this and this and this.”

Well, now we know why Brandon Stark is being so creepy and cold. The full interview can be found here.

Is Tyrion Jealous of Jon Snow?

Last Sunday’s Game of Thrones Season Finale was epic. There were so many important moments. One of them was Brandon Stark narrating the scene of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen’s marriage and the fact that Jon Snow is Aegon Targaryen, not Ned Stark’s bastard. As that scene unfolded we saw Jon and Daenerys finally making out and Tyrion standing outside Daenerys’s cabin looking all upset. Why did he react that way? Is Tyrion Jealous? Or is he sad?

Is Tyrion Jealous of Jon Snow?

Tyrion Jealous

Tyrion Reacting to Jon and Daenerys Having Sex

Tyrion did not look happy when he saw Jon Snow walking into the cabin of Daenerys. He is an intelligent man and he knew that Jon has had a crush on Daenerys since Jon arrived at Dragonstone. But he did not anticipate Jon bending the knee to Daenerys and to make matters worse, Daenerys not telling her own hand about it. Tyrion comes to know about Jon’s pledge to serve Daenerys as his queen at Dragonpit for the first time straight from Jon Snow, not from the queen he serves. That perhaps made him feel left out and small.

Tyrion can see how Daenerys has started relying on Jon Snow. She even asked Jon for advice when she heard the news about Lannisters taking over Highgarden. At that time she was quite mad at Tyrion as his advice to stand down cost her Dorne, Iron Islands and Highgarden. Now with Jon pledging alliance as King in the North to Daenerys, and Daenerys and Jon hooking up, it complicates matters for Tyrion even further.

Tyrion’s Reaction From a Political Standpoint

Tyrion Jealous

When Tyrion Finds Out That Cersei is Pregnant

Tyrion may have made some kind of a deal with Cersei to make her commit to a truce. May be he told Cersei that her unborn child can be named as Daenerys’s successor. We have seen Tyrion talking to Daenerys about choosing a successor to Daenerys in Beyond the Wall. Even though Tyrion thinks that Daenerys can’t have children and Jon Snow and Daenerys having sex won’t change that in his opinion. But he is worried that Daenerys won’t agree to Tyrion’s suggestion of naming Cersei’s child as her successor, especially if Jon Snow and Daenerys get married. That would make Jon Snow a successor after Daenerys. Remember, no one except Brandon Stark and Samwell Tarly know about the fact that Jon Snow is Aegon Targaryen, the true heir to the Iron Throne.

Does Tyrion Love Daenerys?

Tyrion may also have some feelings for Daenerys. He definitely respects her. According to Jeremy Pedeswa, Director of Game of Thrones Finale, in an interview, “Everyone seems to be in love with Dany, in a way, and I think Tyrion’s a little bit in love with her. But I don’t think it’s an actual romantic love. There’s a huge respect for her. And maybe there’s a slight romantic element to that. But it’s more of a jockeying in terms of who has real power. Not over Dany, but who has power in a relationship with Dany. With Tyrion, it’s all about who is going to have sway over her?

So is Tyrion jealous? Yes, there is some jealousy and some love. But, most likely, Tyrion is worried about losing influence over Daenerys as she gets more and more close to Jon.

The Love Story of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen

The love story of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen is an amazing one. It all started in Harrenhal.

How Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen Met?

In 281 AC, Lord Walter Whent organized a grand tourney at Harrenhal. Many noble houses from all over the Seven Kingdoms came to the Riverlands to take part in the tourney. Amongst them were Brandon Stark, and his younger siblings, Eddard aka Ned StarkLyanna Stark and Benjen Stark, heirs to Winterfell in the North.

King Aerys II Targaryen was also part of the festivities. The Crown Prince Rhaegar Targaryen won the final tilt. Rhaegar was supposed to crown the new queen of love and beauty. Instead of crowning his wife, the Dornish princess Elia Martell, Rhaegar rode past her and crowned Lyanna Stark of Winterfell instead. Ned Stark always recalled this moment as “the moment when all smiles died”.

Supposed abduction of Lyanna Stark

After a certain amount of unknown time, Rhaegar Targaryen supposedly abducts Lyanna Stark. At that time, Lyanna Stark is betrothed to Robert Baratheon. Brandon Stark and later on Rickard Stark go with their armies to the Red Keep thinking that Rhaegar took Lyanna to King’s Landing. However, Mad King executes both Brandon and Rickard. Robert is at a loss for losing Lyanna and with the help of Ned Stark, Robert and Ned declare a rebellion against House Targaryen.

Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen Were in Love

Today, in Game of Thrones Season 7 Finale, it was finally revealed that Lyanna was not abducted by Rhaegar. Robert’s rebellion was based on a lie. She and Rhaegar were in love since that tourney. Lyanna eloped with Rhaegar. High Septon Maynard annulled the marriage of Rhaegar Targaryen and Elia Martell and married Lyanna and Rhaegar in Dorne.

Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen

Lyanna and Rhaegar’s Marriage Ceremony in Dorne

Robert kills Rhaegar in the battle of Trident. Lyanna gets pregnant with Rhaegar’s child and gives birth to Aegon Targaryen aka Jon Snow in the Tower of Joy. Ned Stark finds Lyanna all soaked in the blood due to complications from childbirth. Lyanna tells Ned the name of her child and takes a promise from Ned not to tell about Aegon to Robert and everyone else. She knows that Robert will kill that child if he comes to know that Aegon is Rhaegar’s and Lyanna’s child.

Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen

Lyanna dies and Ned brings Aegon home as his bastard son Jon Snow. Rhaegar and Lyanna died but their love in the form of Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryen is still alive today. Jon Snow is unaware of his heritage. We will see how he reacts when he comes to know that he is not a bastard after all but a true heir to the Iron Throne.

Littlefinger Dies in the Finale – Game of Thrones Theories

Littlefinger has done a lot of damage to the Stark family. He betrayed Ned Stark which ultimately led to his execution and misused Catelyn Stark’s trust in him. Littlefinger sided with the Lannisters in the war of five kingdoms. He sold off Sansa Stark to the Boltons knowing the sadistic nature of Ramsay Bolton. And now he is playing off Sansa Stark and Arya Stark against each other. But he is probably in a surprise. What if Littlefinger dies in the Season Finale? Let’s analyze how that can be a possibility.

What is Littlefinger Up To?

Littlefinger dead

Littlefinger in Game of Thrones Season 7 Finale

Littlefinger sees Arya Stark and Sansa Stark’s relationship as a threat. He sees an opening to plant the seeds of mistrust when Arya duels with Brienne in Spoils of War. Littlefinger senses that he can exploit Sansa’s willingness to rule the north as a sign of betrayal towards Jon Snow for Arya. Arya watches as Sansa politely declined House Stark’s bannermen calls for her to supplant Jon Snow as leader of the North. Arya, later on, says to Sansa that she knows Sansa wants to be the queen, “You’re thinking it right now. You don’t want to be. But the thought just won’t go away.”

Later on, Littlefinger leads Arya to a letter written by Sansa in Season 1 to Robb asking him to express fealty to Joffrey. Arya confronts Sansa with that letter saying that she betrayed her family for her beloved Joffrey. Sansa tries to defend herself but Arya isn’t satisfied. Then, Sansa goes to Littlefinger expressing concerns about that letter coming out in public and how Arya can be dangerous. Littlefinger suggests that Brienne of Tarth can intervene if Arya poses any threat to Sansa. But Sansa ships Brienne and Podrick to King’s Landing to represent her at a G8 type summit being hosted by Cersei.

Sansa also finds Arya’s bag of faces and asks Arya about them. Arya scares Sansa by pointing the catspaw dagger at her and says to her that she can become Sansa Stark if she wishes to be. She also misrepresents some facts there especially of wearing pretty dresses if she wears Sansa’s face and also Sansa being all lady like when Ned Stark was being executed.

Littlefinger Dies in the Finale – A Possible Scenario

I think Arya and Sansa are playing a game the way Littlefinger plays other people. They are making Littlefinger believe that his plan of tearing the two sisters apart is working but in reality, there are plenty of clues now from Arya’s and Sansa’s conversation that indicate that this is all a ruse to turn the tables on Littlefinger in his style.

We also have a greenseer Brandon Stark who knows everything. I think Brandon Stark most likely has told Sansa already about Littlefinger’s betrayal towards Stark’s family. Sansa is just plotting a revenge by making Littlefinger think that his plan is working.

Littlefinger Dies

Isaac Hempstead Wright as Brandon Stark in Game of Thrones Season 7 Finale

Also, we still have to hear the famous dialogue yet from Sansa, “When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.”

Game of Thrones Season 7 Finale GIFS

Sansa Stark at Winterfell

Maybe she is gonna say this to Littlefinger when he is all caught up in his lies in front of all Stark House Bannermen. We will most likely say goodbye to Littlefinger in the season’s finale. Hence, why I think Littlefinger dies.
