John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) just raised the bar for Game of Thrones Season 8 episodes. He recently gave an interview to HuffPost. According to him season 8 is gonna be pretty epic.
What To Expect From Game of Thrones Season 8 Episodes?
We recently heard from Casey Bloys, HBO’s Programming Director, that the last season of Game of Thrones will have multiple endings to avoid the leaks. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau apparently doesn’t think that HBO would waste their money like that.
We also heard that the budget for season 8 episodes is gonna be about or more than $15 million. Season 8 filming is starting this month. Add that to the list of amazing directors that game of thrones season 8 episodes are going to have. Miguel Sapochnik who directed ‘Hardhome’, ‘Battle of Bastards’, and ‘The Winds of Winter’ is going to direct 3 episodes. David Nutter who directed ‘The Rains of Castamere’, ‘The Dance of Dragons’, and ‘Mother’s Mercy’ will be directing two episodes. And the showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (“Walk of Punishment’, and ‘Two Swords’ will direct the penultimate Game of Thrones finale.
Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) has raised the expectations even further. Jon Bradley told HuffPost, “We assembled a team of directors this year who have been in charge of some of our big episodes in the past. Miguel and David have done some of the standout episodes of previous seasons. Clearly, every single episode of the six you’ve got left in Season 8 is gonna be monumental and needs somebody at the helm who’s done that kind of high-stakes, high-octane direction before for us.”
According to Bradley, the viewers should expect six Episode 9s next season. “I think what we used to call Episode 9 in ‘Game of Thrones’ folklore — the episode when everything comes to a head and you get a lot of spectacular sequences — I think you’re gonna get six ‘Episode 9s’ this year.”
About David Benioff and D. B. Weiss Directing The Series Finale?
Bradley thinks that David Benioff and D. B. Weiss directing the Game of Thrones finale is a poetic decision. “They know everything about the show. They’ve been in charge of everything ― every key decision in all seven seasons so far has been made by David and Dan. I think they’ve done an incredible job with this series. They deserve everything they get, and they deserve the right to finish this show off in the way they see fit. I don’t think there’s anybody better qualified, so I can’t wait.”
