Melisandre says to Varys in the Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 3, “I’ve brought ice and fire together”. A lot of people must have gotten goosebumps as the book by George R.R. Martin is called ‘A Song of Ice and Fire‘. That is the very gist of Game of Thrones.

I’ve Brought Ice and Fire Together: Game of Thrones

Jon Snow arrives at Dragonstone and finally meets Daenerys Targaryen which is the spine of Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 3. Daenerys expects Jon Snow to bend his knee to the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. But Jon Snow doesn’t think that Daenerys is worthy of that much respect. He doesn’t know Daenerys’s journey so far. Daenerys doesn’t know Jon either so there are a lot of expectations on the either side that are not being met.

Jon worries about the Night King and The Army of the Dead that is marching upon the living. He hopes that Daenerys will let him mine dragonglass at Dragonstone. Daenerys has not seen the Army of the Dead or the White Walkers or the Night King. So whatever Jon Snow tells her is hard for her to believe. Jon explains to Daenerys that she will rule upon the dead if she doesn’t help him in defeating Army of the Dead. If we all die that the fight against Cersei will be useless.

Ser Davos Seaworth explains to both Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen about who Jon is, what he is capable of and what he has done for his people.

Daenerys also assertively tells Jon and Ser Davos about what she has endured. She says she has been raped, sold, tortured but the thing that has kept her going is her faith in Daenerys Targaryen. She says, “I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms and I will”.
